The Krypt is where you can unlock Fatalities, Brutalities, alternate costumes, concept art, stage music and more. There are quite a few areas that encompass the Krypt and some areas will be locked until you solve a puzzle or find a specific item in the Krypt that allows access to the area.
There are also random enemy encounters that will likely startle you. These require you to press whatever input appears on-screen before the enemy hits you. If you fail to do so there aren't any negative penalties. However, if you do follow the on-screen commands in time you earn koins. You have a decent amount of time to input the command so take your time to see what button you have to press to make sure you deflect the attack and score some koins.
Throughout the Krypt you'll hear the sound of chests appearing and then vanishing again. These are timed chests that only appear for a short time before they're gone. If you want in the location of a timed chest, it will appear again. Most appear within a few minutes time.

Note: Cyber Sub-Zero is not unlocked in the Krypt. However, we've got all the details you need if you're trying to unlock Cyber Sub-Zero.

Enter the NetherRealm

Head to the Shrine of the Dead (-11, 12) and use Jax's Rocket Launcher to enter. Inside you can gamble your koins (-11, 13) in order to unlock the Kamidogu and earn other rewards. To obtain the Kamidogu you need to gamble at least 10,000 koins. Using the Kamidogu you can gain access to the NetherRealm through the Nether Gate (-24, 18).

Shao Khan's Fortress Puzzle

In order to gain access to Shao Kahn's Krypt you must activate three levers throughout Shao Khan's Krypt (accessed through the portal in Hollow Grounds).

Are you guys talking about the console? Because am yet to see an option where koins can be spent to buy souls, I have often wondered about how having such option on mobile will be great for everyone in terms of gaming experience, because there isn't much use for koins when your sliver characters are all fused to max... it will be great to have an option to convert koins to souls, vise vasa..... Disclaimer: The numbers will be as factual as I can get, please point out if I made any mistake. The decision I make is subjective, so it is open for debate, as long as you provide your reasoning.

Offence Tier 2

This teir has no particular theme. The first talent gives you extra chance for combo ender. The second talent gives you extra damage against opponents who has frozen or stun debuff. The third talent basically boosts the damage for almost all special attacks.

Precision: 1st point gives you 10% more chance for a combo ender. Each subsequent point gives you an extra 5% chance, reaching a maximum of 30%.

Opportunist: 1st point gives you an extra 10% damage against stunned or frozen opponent. Each subsequent point gives you additional 10% more damage, reaching a maximum of 50%

Gambler: 1st point gives you an extra 12% to your special attack's mini-game bonus. Each subsequent point gives you an additional 2%, reaching a maximum of 20%.

At first glance, the three hardly has any relevant comparison. In the end the main choice should be more based on your team. Do they prefer combo ender, do they stun or freeze a lot, or do they utilise the mini-game more? I will just assume a normal team with normal occurence for every aspect and try to compare the damage output increase brought about by each of these talents.

Mortal Kombat Xl Krypt Items

Precision: First we need to know about combo enders. Normal basic combos have 3 hits, and probably a combo ender. Generally, the damage distribution is like 1-2-3-5, i.e. if the first hit of the combo does 1 damage, the second does 2, the third does 3 and the ce does 5. (I know this is not always true for example Klassic Kano, but i will assume that first for calculation sake, please do tell me if I am way off). This means ce increases the damage of a combo by 5/11, or 45.5%. That with the 30% extra chance for ce means that overall the damage boosts is about 15%. However, ce only occurs for unblocked basic attacks. Considering if only one-third of all your damage outputs come from unblocked basic attacks (one third from special attacks, one third from blocked basics), the effective damage increase is about 5%. This number can be more if your character depends more on unblocked basics to deal damage. Also, the talent is essential for those with special effects activating on ce, like MKJ, ScB, Death Mark or Art of Tsunami.

Opportunist: On paper, the 50% damage increase is the largest amongst the three. However, the chance of it procing is also the smallest amongst the three. Gambler should proc very very often, Precision can also at least proc for every single team combination. However, this is not true for Opportunist. Freeze only occurs for Sub-Zeros and sub-zero triborg, and only lasts one hit. Stun has more occurrence, but unless at least 10% of all your damage dealt is against a stuuned or frozen opponent, the damage output increase will be less than that of precision mentioned above, which is about 5%. Also, Defender's Bulwark is a thing, so your Opportunist may offer an even lower amage increase. Still, it is an interesting choice if you are a big fan of teams with scorpion and sub-zero. Sub-Zero Triborg freezes more often than others, so he is one of the best character to go with this talent.

Gambler: Gambler was at first being looked down upon by many as they did not understand how it works. Basically, when you perform a special attack it has a base damage, then you perform a mini-game and the final damage output= base damage+mini-game score*basic damage. Gambler mulitiples the mini-game score by 20% max. SO for example your average mini-game score is 80%, and the base damageis 10. You will deal 18 damage without gambler. With gambler, your damage becomes 19.6, meaning the damage increase is about 8%. If you can consistenly hits 100% for mini-game, the damage increase will be 10%. Now consider how much damage you usually deal using special attacks. If more than half of your damage comes from special attacks, then gambler is arguably a better choice than precision. However, it is worth noting that there are some specials that do not trigger gambler. Examples include TSB, BGKK and NXR's sp2, as well as blocked sp1 from store ermacs and GEB.

Conclusion: My recommendation: Gambler, because it procs more often than others while having a comparable damage output increase in general. Precision is a close second though.

Recommend Precision when: You have characters like ScB and MKJ

You have the talent Death Mark Technique or The Art of Tsunami

Your character does a lot of unblocked basic combos

Recommend Opportunist when: You have a lot of freeze and stun on your team like DELK, RM, SZT or KSZ

Recommend Gambler when: You do a lot of special attacks not including x-rays

You do not use TSB, BGKK or NXR

Your team does not reall fit in any of the citerias for the other two talents.

But it will be a great idea to have a way to spend koins to get souls and souls to get koins, since these are the currency that mkx trades with... It's good real money can be spent to acquire souls, but it will be great to be able to spend earned koins and souls on souls or koins not just cards and packs.
